Church of God
“Connecting with God, with People, with Power, and with Purpose”
We understand that visiting a new church can feel uncertain and overwhelming. We want to try to answer some common questions to set your mind at ease. Beyond our Sunday morning worship, we have many additional ways to plug in to the body of Christ at South Memorial Drive Church of God. All are welcome, and we would love to have you join us!
Sunday School
Sunday School begins at 9:30am each Sunday morning, and there are multiple classes available. Currently, we offer 5 adult options with various teaching styles to ensure that your needs are met. Additionally, we offer multiple Sunday School classes in our Children's wing for ages 4 through seniors in high school. A staffed nursery is available for newborns - age 3.
Our Children
We are blessed to have a Children's wing to minister to the children of our congregation. We offer a fully staffed nursery for Sunday School and morning worship for newborns - age 3. Additionally, we have a private room available for nursing mothers. For a portion of each worship service, Children's church is available for children ages 4 - 4th grade. We seek to provide a safe and secure environment for our children by providing volunteer security at the entrance to this area. For our older students, we have a large youth room and gym/fellowship hall available.
What am I expected to wear?
We welcome all to our building and encourage you to "come as you are". Upon entering our building, you will observe many different styles and ways to dress. There are no requirements or expectations on what you should wear, and you should dress however you are most comfortable.
Complimentary Coffee and Donuts
Each week, our coffee ministry team brews fresh coffee and sets out Jack's Donuts for anyone needing a "pick me up" before Sunday School begins. We have comfortable seating where you can fellowship with others before making your way to Sunday School at 9:30am.
Parking
Our large parking lot provides plenty of options, including marked spaces for those with Disabled parking permits/plates. Additionally, the front entrance to our building is covered for a quick drop off on days when you need a reprieve from inclement weather.
